Penang Islamic Museum

Penang State Art Gallery

Located inside the Dewan Sri Pinang, the State Art Gallery showcases two exhibitions. An exhibition of different modern collected works is on the ground floor, and on the third floor, there is a permanent collection of the art of Malaysian artists.

Penang State Museum and Art Gallery

Situated in Lebuh Farquhar, the Penang Museum and Art Gallery is quite popular among tourists. Built in 1821, the museum was previously the Penang Free School. It exhibits paintings of early Penang, historical relics, maps, old photographs, charts etc.

Penang War Museum

War Museum is a big military fortress built in 1930 by the British. It was constructed to protect the island from the southern attackers. The museum is situated in Batu Maung, at the southeastern tip of the island.

Toy Museum

Situated on the opposite of Copthrone Orchid Hotel, Toy Museum is a famous tourist attraction. Covering around 650sq.m. of land, the museum showcases toys, dollhouses furnished with wardrobes, make-up parlours and accessories, models and other collections. The museum also has a vast collection of comics, novels, cartoons and computer games.

Camera Museum

The museum is divided into three rooms, namely Dark Room, Obscura Room and Pinhole Room. It showcases over 1000 vintage cameras. It also has a souvenir shop and a cafe.

Rumah Kelahiran P. Ramlee House Museum

P. Ramlee House is the former home of Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. P. Ramlee. He was a singer, composer, film director and actor. The house contains Ramlee's life and works, personal photographs, movie posters and music records.
